Recent Travels of Elaine Clapp

Trip Name: Hawaii

Destinations: Maui

Transportation: We flew over on United nonstop from LAX. We rented a convertible jeep to use around the island! So much fun!

Accommodations: We stayed 3 nights at the Sheraton with an ocean view room and 3 nights at the Grand Hyatt! Both properties are gorgeous but the beach in front of the Sheraton is AMAZING! We snorkeled right from the beach and swam out beyond the Black Rock. Beautiful fish!!

Length: 7 days.

Trip Highlights: We drove half way to Hana! The road is quite windy so we ended up not going all the way. The drive is beautiful. Lots of shops on the way too! I love the roosters that run rampant on the road. Overall, Maui is my favorite island and I can’t wait to go back for more sun and fun!!

Trip Name: Alaska

Destinations: Anchorage, Seward, Juneau, Ketchikan

Transportation: We flew up on Alaska Airlines and then took a train to Seward to board our Royal Caribbean cruise!

Accommodations: Marriott in Anchorage and RCCL/Radiance of the Seas

Length: 7 days

Trip Highlights: I had never been to Alaska so when my youngest graduated from U of Oregon, I decided to take him on an Alaskan cruise. I can’t describe the beauty and the awesomeness of Alaska! It is truly magical. We went whale watching and saw bald eagles, sea lions and we saw a whale breech! That was truly one of the most if not the most amazing sight I have ever seen! The weather was perfect! Sunny and high 70’s every day! I highly recommend Alaska for everyone!!

Trip Name: Caribbean

Destinations: Grand Cayman, Roatan, Cozumel, Belize

Transportation: We flew into Fort Lauderdale the night before and then got on our Princess Cruise!

Accommodations: We stayed at the Hilton and then took a cab to the ship which was about 10 minutes away

Length: 7 day cruise

Trip Highlights: We loved snorkeling in Roatan. The water was incredibly clear and warm! So many amazing colors and creatures that live under the sea
