Turkey Time In Los Cabos
My husband and I spent Thanksgiving week in Los Cabos (about a 30 minute ride from Cabo San Lucas) and had a great time in the November sun south of the border! All it took was a call to Heidi Nanigian, our great travel agent, who made the suggestion that we stay at the all-inclusive resort of the Hyatt Ziva.
It was the perfect choice as it was on the beach, has nine restaurants and seven bars (my favorite restaurant was the French one, Bon Vivant) plus daily yoga on the beach as well as daily water aerobics and also a fully equipped gym, which my husband used almost daily. There’s an adult only pool area with a bar plus a children’s area complete with their own water slides, pool and activity center. Two other very large pools are on the property for everyone’s use, one of which has a swim-up bar. There was live entertainment nightly while we were there plus a day when the local vendors set up shop at the hotel so you could shop in peace without anyone pressuring you. Horse back riding is available on the beach from the locals but that’s not included in the price as they are independent vendors. We took a taxi to Cabo San Lucas one evening so we could experience the sunset jazz cocktail cruise; what a great evening! That was extra but well worth it. Our room was great, overlooking the ocean and more of a suite than a regular room. We rented a private cabana on the sand overlooking the ocean for two days-what a perfect way to spend the day especially when waiters brought us drinks and appetizers!
