Canada

Canada the great white north.

Canada is the largest country in size in North America and the second largest in the world overall (behind Russia.) Renowned worldwide for its vast, untouched landscape, its unique blend of cultures and multifaceted history, Canada is one of the world’s wealthiest countries and a major tourist destination. It houses vast distances and rich natural beauty. Here you can ski in British Columbia, golf in the Saskatchewan, or harvest maple syrup in Quebec. Canada contains pointed mountains, glinting glaciers, spectral rain forests, and wheat-filled prairies.

Canada spreads across six time zones and is home to many beaches, too. With the Pacific, Arctic and Atlantic Oceans on three sides, Canada has a coastline that would reach halfway to the moon, if stretched out. Here you can see amazing wildlife such as polar bears, grizzly bears, whales and moose when you leave the cities. Canada has amazing festivals at all times of the year such as Jazz Fest in Montreal, Calgary’s Stampede, Toronto’s film festival, and Kitchner’s Oktoberfest. There are things to do at every season: surfing at Nova Scotia, hiking Newfoundland’s Appalachian Trail, kayaking the Northwest Territories, or Snowboarding at Whistler.
