Fabulous Honeymoon in Maui

This year will be 10 years since my husband and I got married and it will also be 10 years since our fabulous honeymoon in Maui.  This trip will forever be the best vacation we’ve ever taken and not just because of the newlywed bliss.  Maui is my favorite place in the whole world and, in my opinion, the best island in Hawaii.  If you’re looking for a tranquil, romantic, serene, and stunning location – this is the place to go.  We stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea and it was just perfect.  The staff treats you like royalty from the second you step in.  The whole atmosphere is so luxurious and relaxing you can’t help but want to stay there forever.  We spent the trip snorkeling in the ocean, lounging at the pool ordering lava flows, and exploring Maui.  We also tried our hand at ocean kayaking, zip lining, and snuba.  We attended a luau at the Maui Prince Hotel as well.  I fear that no hotel chain will ever compare to our experience at the Four Seasons – they certainly like to spoil their guests.  The restaurants at the hotel were also tremendous.  There is a Spago which we ate at several times as well as steakhouse called Duo.  Both were superb choices for dinner with incredible ocean views.  You can literally hear the waves and the ocean from every inch of the resort which is why it’s the most relaxing place on earth.  I cried when we left and I certainly hope we’ll be able to return again someday soon to Maui.
